The second annual Education Nation is in full swing and kicked off today with a spotlight of our learning styles portion of the SmarterMeasure™ assessment. Sponsored by one of our partners, University of Phoenix, the Education Experience includes interactive activities. Our learning styles assessment is highlighted in the video below. Although delivered in a unique interface, the questions of the assessment come directly from SmarterMeasure.
This webinar is designed for
Blackboard users who would like to learn more about SmarterMeasure or
those who are already using SmarterMeasure (formerly READI) and want to
learn how the Building Block works.
With Blackboard Integration you can:
1. Add the SmarterMeasure assessment as an assignment, test, or quiz in
a course.
2. Provide Single Sign-On access so students do not have to input an
username or password.
3. Seamlessly display the assessment within the LMS.
4. Report levels of assessment completion in the grade book.

Last week at the TxDLA 2011 Conference in San Antonio, I had the honor of presenting on Tools that Assist Colleges with some Common Challenges in Distance Learning. Ram DeLaRosa from TSTC-Harlingen, a long time client, graciously agreed to co-present. They currently use SmarterMeasure™ and SmarterSurveys™. Ram gave details about how his students benefit from SmarterMeasure and their plans to conduct a research study on student success. Thanks Ram!
Today some of us are enjoying a beautiful sunshine after a good soaking rain last night. Others woke up to devastation, tragedy, and great loss. Our sweet home state of Alabama was devastated yesterday and last night with horrible tornados in many locations. With the death count now at 128 in our state alone, it continues to rise. All of the SmarterServices team is safe with no loss of life or property. Thank you to so many for your concerns. Today we are mindful of all those who have lost property and more importantly those who have lost loved ones. May God bless you and yours as the rebuilding begins.
